Seattle lesbian & gay film festival

The festival is put on by Three Dollar Bill Cinema, a nonprofit film organization that supplies Seattle with films both new and old that are by, for, and about the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community. THREE DOLLAR BILL CINEMA is Seattle’s year-old queer film institution, dedicated to fostering deeper community engagement by showcasing queer film programming, educational experiences, and social dialogue.

Our main annual programs are Seattle Queer Film Festival, TRANSlations: Seattle Trans Film Festival, OUTdoor Cinema, and Reel Queer Youth. The largest LGBT festival in the Pacific Northwest brings to the screen feature length narratives, short films, experimental work, and documentaries from across the globe. Though the effort to provide exposure of LGBTQ stories is taken up by many a filmmaker, such works, though undeniably well-intentioned, are often wrought with inaccuracies or cultural stereotypes.
